I am a highly qualified teacher of English with 28 years' tutoring and teaching experience in a wide range of sectors.

I have worked successfully many times with neurodiverse pupils (dyslexia, autism).

I ran the GCSE English provision in a busy FE college for 5 years, while also teaching both English Literature and Language and Literature A levels, and Access to Higher Education.

I also taught Shakespeare and Linguistics in higher education for 5 years, and both undergraduate and masters level courses in Linguistics in several Midlands universities.

Question 3: Do you offer online lessons?

Online tuition (Teams) is available for non-local learners.

Question 4: Are you DBS checked?

Yes, Jacquie Mullender is fully DBS checked.

Question 5: How much do you charge?

Jacquie Mullender charges £40 per hour for lower secondary and GCSE; £48 per hour for A level and above

Question 6: How long are the lessons?

Lessons are one hour minimum, but can be whatever length you wish. Many pupils have an hour and a half, as they find they cover more ground that way, and some have 2 hours.

Question 7: Can I have a taster lesson?

Yes, it's fine to have a one-hour taster session first.

Question 8: When do you teach?

Professional English Tutoring is available for lessons during most daytimes, and then outside school hours from 3.00 to 10.00 pm. On Sundays there are no lessons.
